As Central Market Access Head, lead Central Market Access team to develop and implement corporate access strategies and exert policy influence through highly engaging with national key stakeholders and think tanks to optimize the value-based access environment, and achieve or exceed corporate access goals.

Your Opportunity

• Lead Central Access team to achieve key access objectives through strategy layout, engagement planning and access policy insight, and collaborate with CEs, Medical and other functions to enable the corporate mid and long objectives.
• Develop and execute annual business plan and budget allocation to assist Roche in achieving their strategic goals and specific results within China which are favorable to the interest of Roche.
• Responsible for the Roche’s strategic relationships with central policy makers and key think tanks, establish and maintain solid constructive partnership in value-recognized policy advocacy in support of business goals. Communicate and Influence internally to thoroughly understand business interests and present company positions to central health and reimbursement related governments.
• Responsible for helping Roche management to ensure clarity for access policy environment in particular health and pharmaceutical areas through analyzing and tracing a better understanding the relevant Chinese government systems and dynamics, identifying relevant key governmental stakeholders, building and nurturing relations with selected high-level stakeholders and maintaining a matrix of relationships with priority external stakeholders.
• Lead team to identify access opportunities and risks in terms of TA-based business needs at a central level, provide insight analysis and purpose-led solutions.
• Establish in depth collaboration with cross functions including CEs, Medical and other functions to achieve business objectives
• As a central access leader, strongly plays role model of leadership, provides coaching and feedbacks to subordinates in day to day work, continues to endeavor to develop talents and have knowledgeable enough to engage with stakeholders in very high professionalism.

Who you are

• Over ten years working in market access area and over five years leading market access organization or functional matrix with achieving meaningful performance and demonstrating strong reputable leadership in past.
• Systematical thinking and exposure related to market access and government affairs functions
• Sophisticated communication skills to handle different stakeholders to get satisfaction win-win results
• Tactical negotiation abilities to position Roche in an advanced status in the market
• Business know-how including:
• Strong, developed relationships with the important officials of agencies and proven ability to maneuver through the government channels; Ability to work comfortably and effectively with mid to top-level government officials of either side of the political spectrum and with association leaders.
• A thorough understanding of Chinese policy-making processes and underlying logics, including an understanding of the roles and decision points within the government.
• Experience in managing consultants effectively, as well as appropriately advising/influencing mid to senior-level corporate managers/executives.
