We are seeking a technical manager for Thin Film team at Electronics Technology Center China (ETCC) located in Shanghai. ETCC is an integrated technology center with analytical, process technology and application capabilities that serves the semiconductor customers in China. Thin Film technologies at ETCC include organosilane, organometallic precursors and spin on dielectric (SOD) materials and processes. The incumbent will manage and lead ETCC Thin Film team focusing on thin film precursors sampling and SOD application projects. He/she will also lead communications with internal key stakeholders and external customers and OEMs.

Your Role

The position will be based in Shanghai and will report directly to the Head of ETCC, Semiconductor Materials BU in China. She/he will be accountable for managing Thin Film team and supervise thin film materials and process development to suffice sampling and application requests from customers and new products development.

• 
  Ensure lab operations compliance to safety, health, environment, quality and regulatory procedures.
• Manage product development for organosilane and organometallics precursors and process development/customer demo for SOD materials.
• Lead internal communication and work closely with key stockholders: marketing, Global Product Manager, customer application and commercial teams.
• Manage technical activities with external parties, i.e., customers, OEMs, for customer project update, customer Technical Review Meeting.
• Manage RD resource for customer projects, RD budget and spending.
• Manage experiment/knowledge records and intellectual property development.

Who You Are

• Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering/Materials Science/Chemistry or relevant fields, 3+ years of experience related to semiconductor materials OR master’s degree in chemical engineering/Materials Science/Chemistry or relevant fields, 5+ years of experience relates to semiconductor materials.
• Experience in thin film deposition and/or precursor development is preferred.
• Strong technical background in semiconductor industry will be a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in a people management role will be a plus.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills preferred.
• Self-motived and customer centric.
• Demonstrate creativity and strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communications capability in English is preferred for customer and internal communications.
