As aLead Copywriter,youll be working with brief owners,internal cross function teamand external agencytocreate new contents or re-editfrom existing assets to fulfil the market campaign needs. Youll be generating creative concepts for product launches and tactical marketing campaigns. Youll be creatingfrom creative concepts to thecontent thats always shareable and appealing to a defined audience. Shaping the stories Dyson tells and the way in which it tells them.

Overview department:

The Creative team in GCN CoE isGreat Chinas own internal creative team, whose work is mainly focused on digital & e-commerce related design, with additional film, print, OOH, PR & social contents. Currently it is composed with Creative Head, Creative Project Managers,Film Creatives,Designers and Copywriters. It is a creative outpost of Dyson Group creative team, dedicates to China specific communication needs, whilst reporting back to Group through Creative Head to ensure maintenance of brand integrity and tone and manner are correctly implemented in the market.

GCN CoE is working closely with Group creative team as well as China brand and digital marketing team and local trans-creation/design agencies.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Deliver concepts and creation, produce work that is innovative and highly engaging ensure that work is consistent with Dyson brand values, tone and messaging.
  • Supervision/guidance for local transcreation/design agencies especially on key product claims/campaign messages/headlines.
  • Concepting, writing and refining digital creative assets - including brand/category/product pages on owned digital space as well as e-retailer platforms, banners and re-formatting, e-commerce thematic and promotional message.
  • Copywriting input for print related creative wherever possible required - including retail POS, social post, events and PR collateral.
  • Presenting work to brief owners and stakeholders articulating ideas and confidently defending proposals with reasoned and evidenced arguments.
  • Working closely with designers to achieve qualified work, always maintaining creative output quality from GCN CoE.

Experience Required:

  • Demonstrable experience of writing and creating content for a brand.
  • Experience working on China market digital social media and e-commerce platforms Wechat, TaoBao, JD.com etc.
  • Excellent understanding of creative design principles and processes
  • Experience in developing localised versions of globally created brand assets capacity to effectively trans create whilst maintaining the integrity and intent of the original concept.
  • 7+ years experience in intense creative or design environment.

Essential Skills / competencies:

  • Ability to quickly develop an understanding of Dyson, its engineering ethos and visual identity and have good judgment as to what makes good Dyson communication and what doesnt.
  • A thirst for Dysons competitive communication approach being on the lookout for ways to highlight our competitors shortfalls.
  • Ability to question a brief and highlight key creative challenges or opportunities.
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure, solve problems efficiently, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent English and Mandarin written and spoken language skills.
