Your role

Were looking for QIS Structuring Intern to:
  • produce performance report of UBS Quantitative Investment Strategies
  • perform bespoke analysis upon clients request
  • develop / Enhance backtesting tools and template
  • create marketing documentation and get involved in marketing efforts, both internally and externally
  • keep abreast on market movement and track the performance of major strategies

Your team

The Shanghai Global Markets (GM) Structuring team is a global covering, close-to-market and cutting edge team, providing technical services to support the Derivatives and Solutions related business in UBS across regions and across asset classes. The team consists of 4 sub teams focusing on different business lines, including GM Pricing team, QIS (Quantitative Investment Strategy) team, Derivatives Strategy team and Platform team. The key responsibilities of Shanghai GM Structuring team are to collaborate with global colleagues across teams (sales, traders, structurers, quants, Its, etc.) to design and deliver the bespoken solutions for clients regarding derivatives or strategies.

Your expertise

  • Basic understanding of financial markets and a desire to develop a career in the structuring space
  • Strong programing skills, experience in Python would be preferred
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong ability in communicating in English
  • Able to work on multiple tasks whilst meeting tight deadlines
  • Self-motivated with independent thinking and practical mindset
  • Attention to details
  • Preferred 5 days per week and last for 6 months
