What You Will Achieve Your expertise and skills will help Pfizer build robust financial controls to manage its finance and accounting practices. You will put in place system controls and determine the operations consistency with corporate objectives and standards through various verification methods and processes. You will identify internal control gaps in business procedures, processes or systems, and initiate appropriate remedial actions. As a Team Lead, you will be involved in managing work teams in a division, along with technical and financial resources of the team. You will coach your direct reports on day to day activities. and be relied on to solve complex problems within your area of expertise.   • Manage multiple projects (timelines, work plans, deliverables) and assist senior leadership team, as needed.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities & initiatives.
  • Demonstrate business acumen and be able to apply market specific knowledge in Business Partner and Customer interactions.
  • Responsible for setting-up, documenting, monitoring and maintaining the processes and procedures in the responsible area.
  • Manage and oversee internal & external audit deliverables for the team.
  • Ensure that period end financial close activities are performed and meet all related deadlines.
  • Handle procedure inquiries, ad hoc reporting and analysis requests, provide periodic customer and site training.
  • Participate in or lead special projects that require creative and analytical skills.
  • Participate in numerous finance-related projects and ensure support for external and internal customers.
  • Serve as a key liaison between supported markets/divisions and manage all escalation inquiries related to Travel and Entertainment expenses.
Qualifications Must-Have
  • Bachelors Degree
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Medium to advanced Excel proficiency
  • Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills
Nice-to-Have
  • Masters degree
  • Relevant pharmaceutical experience
  • Working knowledge or experience of US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) or IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards
  • Proficiency in English and additional language skills
  • Proven strong people management experience
  • Understanding and knowledge of the full Invoice to Pay process required
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organization skills required, adaptable to a multi-cultural environment
