RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Build, lead, and develop a high caliber, AP Sales, Business Development, and Strategy organization focused on achieving the company’s sales and profitability goals. Align with and drive the global Control Devices strategy and business operations.
  • Create and execute robust, global automotive sales strategies that align with emerging market trends, future company product line plans and technology roadmaps.
  • Develop, maintain and utilize a robust business intelligence database, aligned with company direction, to ensure high visibility to key commercial metrics.
  • Build deep and wide-ranging relationships with customers to position the Company as the technology leader in its chosen product lines. Work closely with Engineering and Purchasing to discern the competitiveness of existing and new products and technologies as well as identify target programs to pursue.
  • Develop and execute relevant regional strategic initiatives to hold organization accountable for the delivery of the strategy.
  • Partner with Purchasing, Engineering and Operations to drive cost reduction opportunities and introduce these changes to customers, optimizing Stoneridge’s market position.
  • Lead the talent development activity across the AP sales team, ensuring a well-developed pipeline of talent.
  • Lead Korea and Japan strategy for targeted growth and expansion of customer relationships.
  • Drive identification of partnership/acquisition opportunities for Control Devices, allowing for growth in adjacent market spaces and emerging/disruptive technologies.
  • Maintains relationships with market data providers (example IHS, LMC) allowing for alignment of company forecasting activities to industry recognized data sources.
  • 20 to 30 percent regional travel is required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 10+ years of experience in progressive leadership roles within the automotive industry with years of experience leading an Automotive Sales organization.
  • Experience selling engineered technology-focused products to multiple OEM and Tier One customers.
  • Ability to drive accountability and high levels of performance throughout the organization.
  • Ability to work independently under general direction and work with the highest degree of professional and ethical standards.
  • Success leading organizational change within a tenured organization, in support of a systems-based sale and continued business growth.
  • Excellent business sense / judgment and the ability to influence and facilitate activities globally.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor’s Degree and above with strong technical / commercial capacity.
